Comic Book Case

Starfire #11 (kind of pointless and dull)
Kori and company are enjoying their time in Strata as they go to spas and spend time partying for two days straight and it's ultimately kind of dull. While Strata proves to be fun and interesting but there isn't anything going on anymore and it feels like the book is really just padding itself. ultimately it is harmless but when Stella and Kori talk about Sol it gets it reminds us that this book has one issue left. Stella worries that Sol may get hurt because he is dating Kori and Kori seems to agree and says she will break up with Sol. As someone who was excited about the two of them finally getting together I find myself agreeing with Atlee, that Sol should have a say in his relationship.  Sol and Syl'kee have a much more fun story as we see Syl'kee has his own plans for Sol and the two really bring back the things that made this book fun to begin with.

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5 (It was a Monster Mash)
So because I didn't know how long this book was I never thought we would get Ra's Al Ghul but we did so here we are. With the Turtles starting to break down and not sure when they can get home, Batman heads to Arkham Asylum along with Robin to stop the Shredder and Ra's as well as get back the Mutagen they took from Casey.  Like Ra's I did not expect Robin to be here and it seems that Robin didn't realize that this was the anniversary of the death of his parents. I find that weird sice in Batman and Robin Batman and Damian go to pay respects to them, whether or not this preludes to it or just a continuity issue I don't know. I had honestly thought we were going to keep the cast small because bare minimum four characters would be coming to Gotham interacting with Batman. But Damian's interaction with the Turtles is fun enough and by bringing him in later deals with the overcrowding. The best part is definitely when Batman and Robin find the asylum inmates have already taken mutagen and are all awesome looking. ELEPHANT BANE AND PENGUIN PENGUIN!

Earth 2 Society #11 (so it's over isn't it?)
This is reminding me more of the previous Earth 2 book World's End in that everything seems a forgone conclusion. Green Lantern has officially screwed up negotiations between the two cities by revealing that this planet has no resources while Batman, Red Arrow, and Theodore Grant have successfully stopped Hourman and Nimbus while Hawkgirl gets the story from the Amazons about the people fused with the souls of other Amazons. While Green Lantern fails at diplomacy, Sandman and company come to terms with using Protocol Twelve to keep the peace. Sandman is one of the better characters this issue as he talks about how Green Lantern can stop him but won't due to his conscience. Like Starfire's book, I think it's safe to say this is coming to an end but this one doesn't seem positive. Will the Justice Society be able to prevent massive war and fix the problems of the planet or will everything crumble apart like it did before?

Next time I'll be going over the Earth One series and a little insight into DC's REBIRTH
